This Guardian article describes a number of people’s most hated jobs. One talks about how her job involved nothing else but refilling a printer when it ran out of paper while another explains how their only job was to wait for a fax machine to overheat, turn it off and turn it on again.
So, here are some things for you to consider;
What makes a job really bad? Is it repetitiveness? Or working alone? Some people consider working with others to be very stressful, do you agree? What about working with the public – serving customers or meeting the needs of clients?
Have you ever had a truly horrible job? Why was it so bad? How long did you stay in the job?
In this day and age, should all these terrible jobs be done by machines? Is it a good thing that some jobs are still available in spite of technology? Or is it a waste to have people working in such roles?
On the other hand, what makes a great job? Is it possible to have a job you love completely? Is there a job which involves no stress or boredom?
As ever, we love hearing for you about these topics. Comment and share to join the discussion and have a wonderful weekend!
